Asus Eee Keyboard

At CES 2009, Asus presented a new breed of mini pc, the Asus Eee Keyboard. The size of a normal keyboard, it is actually a computer with a mini touch-screen built in.

There weren’t too many details about this keyboard-computer, but we do know that it’s target is likely for media centers.

Gizmodo explains a couple details. “Featuring wireless HDMI, it’s a ‘fully functional PC’ with full QWERTY and a mini secondary touchscreen.” They go on to say that with “wireless HDMI you could potentially make any television into your monitor (complete with audio playback) without having some huge PC taking up space.”

Seems like a fantastic idea! Why have something bulky and space-consuming when you can have something much smaller that does the job just as well.

It’s still questionable on whether this will be released or not, but we look forward to seeing it for sale sometime soon. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
