160GB hard drive and 2GB of DDR2 memory keep the MAG running smooth. You can mount this guy to the back of your monitor with the VESA monitor mount that comes with it, or let it sit on your desktop like another computer. This would be great for a bigger screen, and for any everyday to unusual uses you can come up with. You have several connectivity options with 6 USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, high speed ethernet, Wireless N, eSATA, HDMI, VGA, and optical S/PDIF.

With all of this included with the computer, it comes completely blank. There is not an operating system installed on the MAG, instead they’ve saved money by handing you the shell and the insides, and let you install what you want on it. Hopefully, this computer will cheaper since it’s lacking an OS, but we’ll have to wait and see.

It weighs 2.86 pounds, still incredibly light with its 11.6 inch display on it. That’s a sizable display for the dimensions of the computer only being 9.4″ x 6.9″ x 1.4″. This would mean that the display bleeds right out to the edges of the computer (judging by my algebraic calculation of “a squared plus b squared equals c squared”). It also comes set up with 3 USB ports, a webcam, a card reader, audio outputs and a VGA jack. Seems to be quite decked out!

Prices have not really been discussed yet, but chances are it’s going to be cheaper than a lot of the computers out there.

They plan to debut this computer at the 4G World show this year.

LOOK is a mini PC for pretty much anywhere-use. They’re calling this one a netTop (instead of desktop, or netbook). It’s compact, using an Intel Atom processor. It has plenty of power to do all of the common every day things a computer is used for. Write a paper, browse the internet, check email, update social media account(s), and even edit your last vacation photos. You of course won’t be using LOOK to edit any videos, but that’s not what these mini PCs are meant for. They’re meant for the common tasks and nothing too processor-intense. This looks like a superb buy, but we’re not yet sure if it’s going to be released in the US. Hopefully Ripple decides to share this one with the world.

A Mini PC for Kids! Dell and Nickelodeon have come together and slimed a Dell netbook for kids!

Well, it’s not real slime (fortunately, for the parents out there who would have to clean it up), but part of the plastic casing on the mini computer.

There’s been a line of computers out for kids for a while now, but not until now has there been one that is the solid construction and quality that is the Dell. Dell has essentially taken one of the netbooks, made it kid-friendly and easy to use, and supplied some parental control features and functions so all of the concerned parental units out there can monitor what’s going on. This offers a high end solution, that is both affordable and eye-catching for kids to use.

Needless to say you probably don’t want to give your child a computer until they are responsible enough, but at least if something was to happen, the price tag of around $300 wouldn’t be anything like losing a $1000.

Netbooks have been raising in price here recently with companies as they’ve been trying to fill these little computers with the newest software. Well, HP has done it, without jacking up the price. In fact, they have brought it down a little bit from where it had gone! The prices of these guys were getting kind of high, closer to $1000, and at that price it’s no longer targeted at the same audience. These netbooks are supposed to be small and affordable, and that’s exactly what HP reminded themselves of.

The HP Mini 110 is packed with the latest hardware, and is offered with Linux instead of Windows to keep it fast.

This newest mini PC is slim, speedy, sexy and sleek.

By now I am sure you’ve caught wind of the GPS addition to Dell’s Mini 10 netbook… called Dell Wireless 700, available for $69.

The upgrade comes as a mini PCI module, complete with Loki, a utility that finds your location in correlation with surrounding WiFi networks, and CoPilot Live. Available to you are both two-dimensional and three-dimensional maps, and 50 stored addresses.

The idea is that GPS on your netbook will replace your car’s GPS navigation system, or your GPS on your mobile phone. I doubt this will be the case, as those items are far smaller and thus much more portable than even a netbook. The benefits to having the netbook with you instead is that you get to enjoy the 10 inch display, but this could potentially pose as another problem. The size of the display will be only beneficial if you’re stationary. There’s certainly no reason to be looking at the map while you’re following its directions! That’s extremely hazardous… not to mention how do you secure the thing?

Regardless of these shortcomings and questions left open, the GPS capabilities of this netbook are an excellent idea. Plus, with a possible rumored 12v car adapter for your netbook, it will at least solve the problem of your battery dying while you’re in the middle of a trip. Heck, the adapter alone would be a great idea!

Try pairing your new Mac Mini with a new Apple-inspired display! CinemaView has released a monitor that closely resembles Apple, and utilizes the Mini Display/Port.
